Things to consider
At Junction 28 Smokers, we understand that there are many things to consider when purchasing a smoker, and we aim to make the process as informing as possible so you receive the correct smoker for you. Some of the basic things to consider when purchasing a smoker are:
Colour - Any standard colour in a matte finish will be available to you when purchasing a smoker, so be sure to consider what will be the best fit for your needs. What colour would be a good reflection of yourself? Does your business have a certain colour scheme to follow? All we need to know is the RAL code for the colour you wish your smoker to be.
Mobility - Skids will be ok if your smoker is going to stay in one position, maybe you require it to be on castors if you need to move it around the patio or workplace. You may need the off road package if you need to take it across grass or even have it built on a trailer if you want to tow it from place to place.
Cook Space - What will you be cooking in your smoker and for how many? Will you need a hot plate over the firebox for your smash burgers? Will you need extra shelves to cook more food at once?
Custom Signage - For that professional touch, you can have your name and logo on the smoker. It could be for fun, your team’s logo, or have “John’s Smoker, hands off!” or maybe its for business purposes to display the logo and name.
Size - Can you get the smoker to where you want to use it? Because of its size and weight, things like stairs are not an option. Is your side gate wide enough? Are there any sharp turns to negotiate? If you decide to leave your smoker on Skids, will you need some heavy-duty lifting equipment?
Build time - Because none of our smokers are “off the shelf”, all of the pieces need to be made once the order comes through. Your smoker will spend a few days in the paint shop. Custom pieces will need to be made by hand. Once all of these things are completed, we then put on the cotton gloves for final assembly.
All of this takes time, which is why we predict your smoker will take between 6 to 8 weeks to make. We try out best to reduce the length of time so it may be possible to arrange collection/delivery before the 6 weeks.
